The Artists Studio
opening Night

4th Feb 2010
A glittering crowd of art enthusiasts attended the opening Bash at The Artists Studio where not only was the gallery open to the public but also the Studio on the first floor of this fantastic building.
The interest in the latest Artist led Gallery right in the centre of Glasgow was amazing and not only clients came along but also among the crowd was noted Artist Frank McFadden himself an internationally renowned artist.
The work of Peter Howson is the main feature and certainly drew the crowds and the most noted piece is "The Getaway" an absolutely fabulous work of art 7 ft x 8ft and the Artists Studio is the only gallery
willing and able to take on this scale of work.
On the night though J P McLaughlin and Jett Vivere shone as the stars of the evening with their work on display and selling fast and the enthusiasm they have for art is celar in their work but also in their passion to make the Gallery and Studio a success.
I am sure things will only go from strength to strength and it will always be worth taking the time to go in and see the amazing art on the walls but also to talk to the artists that work directly above their own gallery.
Masterclass
Kilmarnock College
I was recently invited to talk to the students in Kilmarnock college and to demonstrate how I worked by producing a painting in the their Art Studio and to discuss how to go about setting up a career in art.
The demonstration and talk was well received and the feedback has been fantastic and I hope it will help some of the students take their art careers further.

Commissions
Lorraine Howard liked the idea of my commissions so much she put the idea on the front page of the paper. This is a part of what I do and commissions are always treated with the utmost discretion and privacy no matter what the subject might be. It could be a portrait or landscape and all personal to you.
